15-02-09 - Kangas Go Down To Railways
(Report taken from FieldsFootball.com.au)
Played Under Lights Thursday Night April 9th at Sir Richard Moore Sports Centre.
Railways 6.3 10.6 16.8 18.9 (117)
Kalgoorlie 2.2 3.2 3.5 5.10 (40)
To cap off a solid start for Railways after a 81 point belting of Mines Sunday, they tuned in the Roos for a Thursday Night delight by 77 points. Kody Kelman made it 16 for the season thus far with another 8 goal haul, which could have been more if not for rucking duties in the final term when the game was well and truly done and dusted. Railways had dominant players in virtually all positions with Dave Serich displaying his big man value, Aaron Rymer 2 goals, Meshek White 3 goals, while Matt Armstrong, Dave Harring, Nafyn Pattiaratchi, Brendan Sacilotto all have prominent games while Skipper David Stubbs turned out another classy display. The Roos despite an opening round 73 point win found less than a week is also a long time in football and find themselves with a negative winning margin and have split results to round two.
